Anyone who is interesting in beginning a online business has to be worried about web hosting. However, there are a few things that people do not understand about hosting for their websites. They have no idea what it is all about or the way to choose the best hosting company. Below is a list of 6 fantastic tips about selecting the best website hosting company so you can make smart decisions for your internet business.
1. Free hosting
If money is tight or your website has not begun to make money yet, you can always settle on a free hosting site. While they may not be the most ideal web hosts, and may not allow you the number of options you would like, free hosts are a good place to start when you are new to online marketing and have a limited budget.
Alternatively, you may even try to see if you are able to lay your hands on their discounts. Some web hosting companies provide discount codes for customers to make use of when they are making purchases. For instance, you can search for hostgator coupons and save yourself a little money every month. This can be as much as up to 25% off the actual charge, so the money that you get to save can be rather substantiate.
2. Registration and renewal of domain for free
Can you get a free domain name? Amazing as it may sound, there are great website hosting companies that will give you a domain for free, plus you will not have to pay for the registration and renewal. When you are saving a little money and still getting exactly what you require, you are doing your company a great service.
3. Free trial for your website hosting
You might wish to consider a web host if he or she provides a web hosting trial. When a host offers you this type of trial, this shows that this person is confident enough in his or her hosting capabilities to let you try out their services at absolutely no cost for a limited period of time. On the other hand, you should ensure that you carefully read the trial’s terms and conditions. For instance, some web hosting companies may try to trick you into buying a whole year of hosting simply for a free month of hosting. Do not fall for these scams.
4. Bandwidth and features available for your usage
When choosing the best website hosting service for your business, you should ensure that you select one that has lots of features available for you to make use of. Even though the features of most web hosts will be very similar, they will differ in their bandwidth and disk space. If you need a large amount of these two things, then you should ensure that you select a web host that provides you with these services.
5. Purchase your service direct from the hosting company
Be aware that many web hosting providers are actually reservers. They do not actually own their own web servers, so you have to be wary of that. You may experience delayed times for fixing problems or customer service requests. You can often get the exact same service directly from the company that they are renting space from, so ask who that company is, rather than getting from them.
6. Be prepared to change hosting company when necessary
Don’t be fearful to change your web host if they are not providing you with the services that you require. There are currently thousands of web hosting companies in the market. Therefore, if your current web host is giving you sub standard service and charging you extortionate monthly fees, it is in your best interest to get another web hosting provider today!
Now that you’ve learned a bit about web hosting, take the information in this article and use it when you are choosing a host or hosting a site yourself. The right web hosting service provider can make or break the success of your site, so learn as much as you possibly can about hosting and you’ll be happy you did, especially when you look at the income coming in.

Its International Dark Sky Week. Here is a Shot of the Milky Way over Moccasin Peak in Tuolumne County, Ca. The Orange glow on the horizon is light pollution from the small city of Merced about 45 miles away. The unused light sits in the sky diminishing the beauty of the stars and concealing the Milky way in this image. Believe it or not, the location i made this image is considered a highly rated "dark sky location" meaning the skies are free of light pollution allowing for the stellar views of the night sky and stars. I hope my image raises awareness of not only the beauty of the night, but also the plight of light pollution.
